It was another busy and tired afternoon in office.. and the Halloween Masks arrived.. haha..
Trying to be funny, we put on the masks and this was what we got! A Witch, a Pumpkin head and a Frankenstein!

I'm trying to hold on to that stick (represent broom) for a witch.. And we got a cute Mummy with her tummy so big loh.. then we got Cheryl, the sweet pumpkin.. haha...
Tony trying to act cute ya?

Noelle's 1st Birthday Party 10 Oct 09

Venue: Grassroot Club, Yio Chu Kang
Date: 10 Oct 09, Sat

The place is cool.. As the invited guest are all the parents and kiddos, therefore this is a perfect place. There is a corner for the buffet and makan and there is another section for the kids to entertain themselves. Could see that the invited guests really enjoyed themselves.

Check out the place... The buffet and makan place..

The play area... can see that the whole place is theme - Carebears

I reached early to help sis on the decoration of the room.. quite a simple decoration but I thought it was very nice loh..

Look at the "1st Birthday Princess" balloon bouquet.. that was really so sweet. Anyway, I brought it home..

The goodie bags for the kids, and I got one too.. haha.. There is a lot of princess stuff inside the girl's bag
We got a hard time blowing the balloons and tying them.. Check out the act cute team.. haha..

As usual, when Noelle arrived, she was very shy. Cannot let ppl touch her, call her she will look away.. Trying the let her warm up at the area..

The kids really enjoyed themselves.. Hmm... I went up to join them too.. haha..

Then we had the cake cutting session... the cake is cute right? (proudly sponsored by Ivan and Ranis Ah Yi)

See! All the mummies and their kiddos.. Sorry, daddies are not in the pic, cos too squeezy liao.. haha A lot of photos are with the photographer.. got to wait for 2 weeks loh.. This party was really a complete and successful one.. Happy Birthday Noelle!

This little cute hat was meant for Noelle and we all forgot about it.. Wat a waste!

And this Noelle just got herself warmed up and ready to play, erm.. after the party.. haha

Misc pics from Holiday

Check out our hotel room.. Centrepoint Petchpuri It was big loh. Quite a nice room, but a bit dim at night. Credits to Cheryl for taking these pics while I was poo-ing in the toilet.. haha...

An additional bonus for us for this room was - we got to watch the sun rise.. The sun rises at 6am loh.. so early.. These pics were taken at our balcony..

Last Day @ Bangkok 21 Sep 09

The last day was no shopping.. We woke up at 7am cos the bus was coming to fetch us at 8am at hotel lobby.. so early loh.. So this day was wasted, no choice cos no other flight liao.. But I think was enough le cos my luggage was full and I had an extra garang guni bag for my things loh.. hee hee..

Had my coffee at the airport cos we were so early.. Got to wait about 2 hours. The coffee was nice..

My pro photographer - Cheryl, helped me to take this pic. Understand what it meant? The Thai language.. Look at the pic below it for answer.. haha...

Wah.. our plane.. Cathay. . This view was good.. can take pic. Not like SG airport, think can't take this kind of pic.. haha

Nothing better to do liao.. took pics on the plane.. haha..

The journey back to SG was not pleasant at all.. We met 2 turbulence and the whole plane was so shaky.. scary loh.. the weather was not good.. look at the clouds..

Finally.. we reached SG safely.. sad loh.. holiday was over for us...

Day 3 @ Bangkok 20 Sep 09

Today we would be going to Chatchuchak market.. A real hot place, but got a lot of good buys.. Took a cab there. Started our shopping again..

We walked for quite some time.. Bought a few tops. The market was so big. We were trying to walk as much as we could and see if we would pass by the pets section. But we could not find.. It was really hot and we stopped by for an ice-cream. This ice-cream was really heavenly.. I quite like this, it is a coconut ice-cream with mixed fruits.
Can see from our faces that we are shagged right? So sweaty..

Finally... we asked our directions and got to the pets section. See!!!! The cuties... I like this doggy. . Cheryl's Bella was behind (the black one) haha... I like the brown one.. Poody.. you are so cute...

This is the small Yoki.. Shih Tzu.. so cute.. I like it..

This one also (under the man's hand).. I like it.. Don't know what is the breed.. so lovely..

Cheryl captured many shots of doggies and cats loh.. She was like going crazy, wanted to bring this home, wanted to bring that home too.. haha..

We got some bites at Chatchuchak and went for our massage.. So shiok loh.. I never asked for Thai massage lah, I went Aromatherapy body massage, which was 750 baht. Had a good bath and was so shioked! My virgin body massage experience given off at Bangkok.. haha.. (in the end my legs and shoulder muscles hurt loh.. really cannot take body massage lei.. haha.. but the experience was relaxing lah..)

After the massage, it was like 5pm liao. We went back to hotel to leave our things and went out again. Chiong to Platinum Mall to shop for the last 1.5 hrs cos we did not manage to cover the mall on the first day. After the shopping, we were thinking if we should go for a sumptuous seafood dinner.. but in the end, we ate at Platinum foodcourt. Haha.. cos we wanted to go to Central World again.. so don't waste time.

So we went Central World after our dinner and we went to Naraya again. I got another bag out from the shop.. haha.. bought something for Dear's mum cos I really can't find a proper pressie for her.

Then we told ourselves.. That was the last night for us in Bangkok, so it was time to go slow.. Relax and enjoy some food.. haha.. Then we went Haagen Daz.. yeah yeah!! My favourite! Got a hot latte and we shared this ice-cream.. Inside there were 5 scopes of ice-cream - coffee, chocolate, belgium chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. So cool!! And Cheryl who was on diet was eating too.. haha.. Enjoyed!

After the ice-cream, we went for a last min bra shopping at Zen. Got quite a few bras for myself, Aunt and Cheryl Quak. hee hee..

While walking back to hotel, we decided to try the fish that Sarah recommended, thou both of us were real full. The fish was coated with salt and they bbq it.. The sauce was great.. and the fish was nice loh.. yummy.. Really enjoyed myself loh... Next time if I go there, I will come back to this street stalls and have my dinner. Saw a hot pot and it seemed very delicious..

Day 2 @ Bangkok 19 Sep 09

Tried to wake up early for the breakfast at the hotel and the next thing we did was to start our shopping spree.. :P

First stop was Central World (used to be World Trade Center). Before we reached, saw some Buddha outside, so do my praying first, hoping the trip to be save and smooth. After the praying, we entered Central World, and went directly to Naraya. Oh dear, there were so many things and I knew I can get a lot of pouches, bags and gifts for friends. This was bad, cos I bought a lot of things and end up with a very big bag. (so heavy) Wrong strategy, should put this as the last stop.
I was excited of the small boutiques when I visited their website. However, discovered that the small boutiques' clothes were so pricey.. So we proceed to Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery Center. Main objective to go to Siam Discovery Center was to find this shop - The Loft. Heard from Tracy that there were a lot things in this shop. True enough, we spent quite some time in this shop (very big). I like this shop for the variety of things in it.. Cool! Spent a lot again in this shop and this time, I really could not manage my shopping bags liao. Told Cheryl if we could have our lunch and go back to hotel to put our things... The lunch was not fantastic cos we chose the wrong restaurant.. haha..
This is my Fried Seafood Noodle. Looks like fried Maggi mee right?
Didn't know that it was raining outside.. The whole road was flooded. As I could not drag on, really got to go back to hotel. Sorry to Cheryl cos she could move on, but cos of me, we got to waste time to go back to hotel. Worse, no taxi as it was flooded and jammed out there. We got to walk back.. The walking back journey was 'exciting' and dirty.. haha. Exciting, meaning we got to avoid the water. Trying our best but too bad, we couldn't. Once the vehicles moved, the water would flow up to the pedestrain walkway...
Think I'm mad right? Cos no use avoiding liao, our feet were wet...

Finally got to the hotel, we put our things down and was very tired... But still, we moved on. Took a cab to MBK. This mall was really disappointing. Can skip this mall the next time if go Bangkok. Then Cheryl recommended a place, just next to MBK (there is a small link bridge). There are a lot of small shops like Bugis Village shops. We bought quite a few pieces of clothes there.. At least worth our effort to get to MBK. haha.. Tried to settle our dinner back at MBK cos later part of the night, we would be going to Suan Lum Night Market. This time round, the dinner sucks.. my tom yum noodle is really sucks. But luckily we ordered chicken wings..

See, the yummy chicken wings & the nice Thai sauce..

Right after dinner, we took a cab to Suan Lum Night Market. There are many shops there, think is bigger than the last time I went. Really a lot of things to see.. We tried to walk as much as we could. Bought some clothes and a pair of slippers.. Then we past by this handy craft shop which caught my attention and I went mad again..

Look at the picture above.. the things are all very small .The one that caught my eyes was the pastries in the white shelving. I really liked that a lot. But the price was about $110. Hai~ cannot buy lei.. so ex. But the handy craft were exquisite. If you see the picture, there is a shelving of cookies/buscuits in containers (the old style kind) which is also very cute too. In the end, I bought something from this shop..

Look at this cake.. It is very cute right? Look very tasty esp the fruits on top. Then I bought this transparent glass cake display.. These 2 pcs cost me S$10.

Every night when we got back to hotel, we would try on our buys.. haha.. every piece.. Both of us were trying our pink tees, so took a picture again.. haha.. (First night was Sailor dress)

These were my spree from The Loft. There were a lot of things to buy, but of course I never anyhow grab lah...

These were my spree from Naraya.. hee hee..

Spent a lot on Day 2.. still got Day 3 to go lei.. To Chatchuchak market..

It's time for a break.. 18-21 Sep 09

Looking forward to that Hari Raya long weekend.. then suddenly Cheryl and I were so obsessed in going to Thailand for shopping.. knew that we could not apply leave together plus our manager not around too.. I still tried my luck.. Haha.. Jac approved our leave!
Looking thru the rates and hotel, we confirmed the booking in just one day. Yeah!
18 Sep, Friday - Thailand here we go!
Thanks Dear for sending me to the airport..
Looked happy right? How I wish you could go too.. But Dear, you are not going in the Departure Gate.. Next time k? Take me to HK? haha..
Yes, this is my travel partner - Cheryl the Gong Zhu.. The happy TWO started to get excited over the shopping once we got in the Departure.. haha..
This was our plane.. Cathay. Looked a lot more bigger than those JetStar, AirAsia...

Reached our hotel at around 4.30pm, got some problems with our room, so switch to another room with Queen size bed.. got out at around 5.30pm.. First stop was Platinum Mall - Wholesale for Fashion. Been there the last time when it was newly opened, not all the stores are filled, but this time round, there were alot of shops and we were unable to cover the whole mall. The mall closes at 7-7.30pm.

Definitely got buy things lah.. haha.. Went to A&W for dinner cos we still got agenda later on... Look at this cute curry rice.. And of course the over-flowed root beer float.. I looked so hungry and happy right?

They shaped the rice to a bear.. so cute right? Can see the nose? haha

First thing we did was to try on the clothes we bought..
Cos Platinum is a no-trying mall (they are wholesale mah..) Bought the same dress.. haha

Yes.. the next place for the night.. Moonbar at Banyan Tree Hotel.. This place was Cheryl's recommendation and she said that this is a must go place for chill out.. She was right! This rooftop bar is on the 61st floor.. Look at the magnificent scenery.. Can view almost the whole of Bangkok!

Ordered this orange, peach dunnoe what Vodka.. forgot the name liao.. haha.. quite nice lah..

I like this photo.. Thanks Cheryl.. haha.. The view is so nice right? Got chance have to go there for dinning although one dinner is going to cost like $100 per pax without desert and appetizer.. haha..

This photo was very blurred, the waiter helped us to take one... wasted loh..

Got back to hotel at around 1am.. Skipped Suan Lum Market which was our plan cos kanna the taxi driver who took us to Banyan Tree.. He heard some Banyani, then took us on a cab tour around Bangkok loh.. Stupid.. But anyway, I enjoyed myself.. Looking forward to the next day shopping spree..

Happy Cooking Event at Bossini Takashimaya S.C. 5 Sep 09

Yes, another happy event by Bossini. This time round we invited Bryan Wong, Michelle Chong, Peifen to join in the fun event. Bryan and Michelle cooked 2 happy dishes for our shoppers.. And it was such a coicidence that we had 3 events consecutive on the same date for 3 years. 2007 - Rebranding, 2008 - Flagship store re-opening, 2009 - Happy cooking event, all on 5 Sep.
Look at the stage setup, amazed right? A stage set-up for cooking in a fashion retail store.
Got to report to work at 8am for setup. Look at how shagged I appeared on that day.. haha..
Oh yar, this happy cooking event is to launch our Campbell's collection.. So, not forgetting to take this cool window setup by our VM. Full of soup.. And Miss Cheryl was wearing the Campbell tee.
Time to start work.. Bryan was the first to arrive.. So brief him on his role again and familiarised the stage setup. This was the first time for him to cook 'LIVE' in a store - not kitchen. Anyway, he was really experienced, so this was chicken feet to him.
And the show started with Peifen introducing the both of them.. Then of course, they intro their ingredients..
Look at the crowd in our store.. All gathered around to watch the cooking session.. The audience got a chance to taste and vote for their favourite dish. So, they had to stay to watch.. Apparently, they really stayed to watch the show. 1.5hr - Good!
Michelle cooking and smiling to the camera.. Look at her yummy sauce for her
"Happy Yummy Chicky Linguine".
Bryan looked like a pro chef.. Cooking and sweating at the same time.. He was very funny.. Trying to engage the audience at all times.. Really outshined Michelle.
Michelle presenting her "Happy Yummy Chicky Linguine"
Bryan presenting his "Happy Rockety Chicken". Looks delicious right?
And then we had the audience to taste and vote for their favourite dish.. haha..
Seemed like they were enjoying themselves..
Think there is no need to count liao.. It was obvious that Bryan had won the votes.. We had goodie bags for 3 lucky voters who voted for Bryan.. Plus, Bryan took out a special keychain and present it to his 4th lucky voter.. So pro right? Value-add..
A&P team with Bryan and Michelle..
Too bad, didn't get the chance to take with Peifen and she was so pretty that day..
At last, the event was over.. Shagged... Another one coming up again..
This was really bad cos grandpa just happened to pass away on 31 Aug. The week of intense preparation for the event, and being the project owner.. I was really sad, stucked and stressed. Not enought time. Thanks Cheryl for helping and backing up.. Thanks Babe!
